These terms are an agreement between you and KORAWORKS LIMITED (“KoraWorks”, “we” or “us”), a company incorporated in Nigeria with company registration number 9387163. They apply to your use of the KoraWorks website and app as a customer, service provider or training provider. If you act for a business, you must have authority to agree on its behalf.
Effective 23 October 2026
The platform
KoraWorks connects people who need everyday services with people who provide them. Customers can find services, request bookings, communicate and make payments. Service providers can manage job requests, availability and earnings. Training providers can publish courses and manage learning sessions. Features and availability depend on your role, location and the services offered in the app.
A listing is an invitation to request a service, not a guarantee of availability. Check the provider, scope, location, schedule and price before confirming. The provider is responsible for delivering the work or training they agree to supply. KoraWorks is responsible for operating its platform and meeting its own obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes a responsibility that the law places on us.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement to open an account or accept work through KoraWorks.
- Provide accurate contact, identity and business information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your passwords, sign-in codes and devices secure. Do not share an account to bypass verification or restrictions.
- Tell us promptly through our contact page if you suspect unauthorised access or a fraudulent booking.
- If you organise a service or training session for someone else, obtain the permissions needed to share their details and arrange their participation.
Booking a service
Read the description and agree what is included before booking. A website starting price may differ from the final amount for your location, chosen variation or agreed scope. A request becomes a confirmed booking when the relevant acceptance or confirmation is recorded in the app.
Give the provider accurate access instructions and disclose relevant hazards. Make the premises reasonably safe and ensure that someone authorised is available where necessary. Any additional work, materials or price change must be explained and agreed before it is carried out. Do not confirm completion or disclose a completion code before the agreed work has been delivered.
For service providers
Only offer services you are competent and legally permitted to perform. Maintain any licences, qualifications, insurance and permissions required for your work. Keep your profile, prices and availability accurate, honour accepted bookings and communicate promptly about delays or problems.
Perform work with reasonable care and skill, follow applicable safety requirements and treat customers and their property respectfully. Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications or work history. Verification checks and profile badges do not replace your responsibility for the work you deliver.
You are responsible for your own applicable tax and reporting obligations. Any platform fees, commission, subscription terms or payout conditions that apply must be disclosed in the relevant onboarding, offer or account flow before you agree to them. These terms do not introduce an undisclosed charge or guarantee a minimum number of jobs or earnings.
For training providers and learners
Training providers must describe the course, level, schedule, delivery method, fees, prerequisites and any assessment or certificate accurately. Only use materials you have the right to teach or distribute. Do not imply accreditation, professional recognition, employment or guaranteed earnings unless the claim is accurate and supported.
Learners should review the course details and attendance requirements before enrolling. Tell the trainer about relevant access requirements in advance. Trainers must explain material changes or cancellations promptly and work with the learner and KoraWorks to resolve the booking. Any course-specific conditions must be shown before enrolment and must not conflict with mandatory consumer rights.
Payments, fees and payouts
Review the currency, total price, taxes and disclosed fees before authorising payment. Use the payment methods offered in the app and keep the transaction reference. Never give a provider or another user your card security code, account password or payment one-time code.
Payment processing is provided through payment partners. Their processing and banking requirements may affect payment or payout timing. Where the app holds a payment pending completion or dispute review, release is subject to the applicable booking process. A displayed wallet balance does not itself promise an immediate withdrawal or a fixed settlement time. We may investigate an incorrect, disputed or unauthorised transaction and explain any resulting adjustment.
Cancellations and refunds
Request cancellation as soon as you know you cannot proceed. Use the booking controls where available; otherwise contact support with your booking reference. The app may restrict direct cancellation after acceptance or commencement, but this does not remove a right provided by law.
Any cancellation charge must have been properly disclosed and be reasonable in the circumstances. Relevant factors include the service, notice and opportunity to take another booking. No cancellation fee applies where the intended beneficiary cannot honour an advance booking because of their death or hospitalisation, as provided by Nigerian consumer law.
If a provider cancels, does not attend or fails to deliver the agreed service, contact us for a review and any remedy due. A partial service may require a partial refund or another appropriate remedy. Work being marked complete does not automatically prevent a valid complaint. Our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy provide further information and remain subject to applicable law.
Acceptable use
You must not use KoraWorks to:
- commit fraud, impersonate another person or submit false documents, bookings or reviews;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger another person;
- offer unlawful services or share content that infringes another person's rights;
- collect, disclose or use another user's information without a lawful reason;
- access another account, bypass security or interfere with the platform;
- send unsolicited promotions or use booking details for unrelated marketing.
We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict activity where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or prevent fraud. Report an immediate threat to the appropriate emergency service; KoraWorks is not an emergency response service.
Your content and personal data
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us permission to host, display and process it as reasonably needed to operate the platform, fulfil bookings and handle support or disputes. Only upload material you are entitled to share. Reviews should reflect your own experience and avoid revealing someone else's private information.
Use information received through a booking only for legitimate purposes connected with that booking, unless another lawful basis applies. Our Privacy Policy explains personal data handling and how to exercise your rights. These terms do not replace consent where the law requires it.
Problems, suspension and closing an account
Tell us about a problem with your booking reference and relevant evidence. We may request information from the people involved to assess the issue. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents in a complaint.
You may request account closure through available account controls or support. Closure does not automatically cancel existing bookings, settle outstanding amounts or erase records that must lawfully be retained. We may restrict or suspend an account for a serious breach, safety risk, fraud or legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to respond. Contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep KoraWorks available, but maintenance, connectivity and third-party failures can interrupt access. We may improve or change features and will communicate material changes where appropriate. Ratings, examples and availability information do not guarantee a particular outcome.
Each party remains responsible for its own actions and obligations. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory consumer remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including responsibility for fraud. We do not require you to waive mandatory rights as a condition of raising a complaint.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms and will identify the effective date. Material changes will be brought to users' attention through an appropriate channel. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or alter an existing booking's agreed price without agreement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. You may contact the appropriate regulator or court, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for consumer matters. Using our support process does not waive that right.
